Facts only matter as much as the point they're meant to support. Chris showed students how to make sense of complicated scientific jargon by understanding what the author was determined to prove. In this passage, the author invited us on a quest to locate the missing 90% of our universe. By understanding how the facts of the passage related to this question, Chris could tell the class in the first paragraph exactly what the author was required to say. Chris got into the nitty gritty of two very difficult questions and reminded students to never relax their must be true standard.
