Highlights
Class began with a set of Necessary Assumption, Supported, and Must Be True questions in Logical Reasoning. Nathan explained that predicting answers in LR usually involves challenging the author’s argument by identifying the gap between their facts and conclusion. When faced with merely a set of facts, as in Supported or Must Be True questions, he tends to spend less time on predictions.
We then shifted to Reading Comprehension with a passage about insider trading. Nathan emphasized that the LSAT is never testing your prior knowledge of a topic but rather your ability to learn new information through reading. We also discussed how to get faster at RC: by spending more time understanding the passage and quickly eliminating wrong answers, which are definitively wrong—often for multiple reasons.
We wrapped up with more Logical Reasoning, including Role, Parallel Reasoning, Weaken, and Flaw questions.
I’m not yelling at you—I’m yelling at the LSAT. My goal is to show you how easy this test can be.
