Test 132, Passage 4 — Sarah Orne Jewett
Highlights
In Reading Comprehension, you can count on being tested on the author’s main point. If you’ve got that locked in, the questions practically solve themselves. In today’s class, most of the questions felt like Main Point questions in disguise. Luckily for us, through active translation, spotting connections between related ideas, and drawing clear lines between concepts that were separate, we cracked this passage wide open. That clarity made it easy to see why the author spent so much time talking about something called the “Ultimatum Game”—and even easier to eliminate wrong answers with confidence. The more we understood the why behind the passage, the more obvious the what became.
Stefan believes this test rewards those willing to put in consistent and dedicated work. He often describes his LSAT journey as a philosophical experience. The LSAT is honest, and will reveal exactly what you need to improve if you let it. Ultimately, he thinks that giving the LSAT your all will not only set you up to be a top-tier lawyer, but also an extraordinary human being.

Conquer the hardest RC passages by understanding not only the what but the why. Students in this class will learn to see through the smokescreen of the most challenging passages and confidently dismiss wrong answer choices. This class covers one passage and all questions.
