We’ll review personal statements and supplement with lessons from the Admissions course.
Highlights
We start with a toast to strengthening our writing skills and putting our best foot forward. Students ask about anecdotes to include or avoid. Leslie encourages students to approach their current jobs and upcoming internships with momentum; they’re probably doing so already, but it can be motivating to know we encourage writing about those things. We read a sample personal statement, and students analyze the persuasiveness of facts the author chose to include.
