Week 4, Series 1: Comparative passages
Test 151, Passage 3 — Music and opera
Highlights
Comparative passages are not the big bad wolf of the LSAT. Our job is to read each passage like we would any other RC passage, and then compare the two. Questions like "What does the author of Passage A say that the author of Passage B would reject?" and "Does the author of Passage B expand on Passage A's ideas, or introduce them in a new context?" can help us better understand each passage and how they're related.
Kaley believes that the writers of the LSAT don't want you to know how easy it can be. By streamlining the way that you approach the questions, you'll be on your way to free law school in no time. As a science and math nerd, if Kaley can conquer tricky RC passages, you can, too.
LSAT Journey: 151 → 174
In Foundations, we’ll build good habits as we work through one passage together practicing active reading and prediction. This approach will make it easier to understand and identify the answers when you get to the questions.
