Week 2, Series 2: Attacking main point questions
Test 81, Passage 1 — Wynton Marsalis
Highlights
Cross-training applies to the LSAT, too! Today, when learning how to identify the main point of a Reading Comprehension passage, we compared it to the main conclusion of a Logical Reasoning argument. We can view an RC passage as a collection of premises, and then predict what the author’s conclusion is based on solid inferences we make while reading.
Kaley believes that the writers of the LSAT don't want you to know how easy it can be. By streamlining the way that you approach the questions, you'll be on your way to free law school in no time. As a science and math nerd, if Kaley can conquer tricky RC passages, you can, too.
LSAT Journey: 151 → 174
In Foundations, we’ll build good habits as we work through one passage together practicing active reading and prediction. This approach will make it easier to understand and identify the answers when you get to the questions.
