In Foundations, we’ll build good habits as we work through one passage together practicing active reading and prediction. This approach will make it easier to understand and identify the answers when you get to the questions.

Darrian believes that every question on the LSAT makes perfect sense when you break it down. She loves poking holes in the arguments on logical reasoning, and she has completed almost every logic game ever released. Practice makes perfect!

The best moments of learning have come when myself and other students vouched for an incorrect answer and Darrian walked us to the correct answer in an almost Socratic method-like way. Darrian does a really great job at engaging the class and breaking down why wrong answers are wrong, and right answers are right. Also, I'm extremely shy when it comes to "public speaking," but Darrian provides such a jovial and safe environment that I find myself wanting to participate when I attend her class.Anonymous
Darrian's class was extremely beneficial in breaking down RC passages I typically struggle to keep the many ideas separate. They also provided many tips and science RC passage "types" to help us differentiate what type of passages we would see, a way to sort of categorizing the science passages. Let's talk about Darrian - she's wonderful! RC has been one of the biggest obstacles for me because of how anxious the texts make me. I've only attended a handful of Darrian's classes and I have seen major improvement already, I was missing several questions per passage, now, I seldom miss more than one. I like how Darrian is very thoughtful in the way she conducts class. She puts up slides to inform folks of what to expect, which is also great for folks coming in late. She also lays out expectations (i.e., possible cold calling) that are helpful for folks like me who took the class for the first time and didn't know what to expect. I love Darrian's style of teaching this class. She asks those who are confused about a particular answer choice to defend their answer choice and explain what they were thinking about when they picked that answer choice. It forces me to confront my understanding of the passage and the question and thereby notice where my understanding went off the rails or what I'm missing.Andrew B.

I don't particularly enjoy RC. Darrian makes it enjoyable because she moves the class along at a perfect speed! It feels like she knows when to move along and when to slow down. Her class doesn't drag. She makes RC feel easy because she explains why the wrong answers are wrong and why the correct answer is correct with clear and simple explanations.
