Highlights
We started class with a poll and a lengthy discussion about what triggers to look for when building worlds. Nathan outlined four main categories of triggers that can help during your setup. We can (1) place a variable as instructed by the game, (2) we can watch out for bottlenecks or “bossy” variables, (3) we can split based on big blocks of two or more variables, (4) or we can start with a conditional rule. Nathan stressed the importance of remembering that there is rarely one perfect place to start.
Nathan walked through student diagrams for this game. He found strengths and weaknesses and encouraged folks to take it one step at a time. We emphasized the importance of organization and doing one split at a time.
The passage for this class was recently covered, so please refer to this class if you would like to listen to storytime or review some of the questions with Nathan.
The LR questions were a bit on the tough side today. One relied on an understanding of the difference between relative and absolute. The other two were great examples of how awful some wrong answers can be. We emphasized the importance of slowing down and putting in the work during the passage.
I’m not yelling at you—I’m yelling at the LSAT. My goal is to show you how easy this test can be.

We don't have the privilege of watching MJ play in the modern era of the NBA. But we're fortunate enough to see his equivalent in the LSAT world. Watching the master do what he does best has motivated to me to ignore my low diagnostic, and just keep going.Eric J.
