Highlights

We started today’s class with a chat about the Demon Live Study Buddy Program. Nathan and Delia encouraged students to fill out the interest form. While drilling Logical Reasoning, Nathan showed students how to effectively use the ‘Prediction Mode’ feature. When making predictions, we should be asking ourselves: 1) Is there an argument in the passage? and 2) If so, what’s wrong with it? During Reading Comprehension, Nathan emphasized slow and careful reading, and said that his approach to RC is very similar to the way LR should be approached—just less confrontational. He compared his evaluation of RC passages to an interview with the author of the passage. During Logic Games, Nathan showed students how to easily tackle the Zephyr Airlines game using common sense. He said the game was simple if you could identify the main inference. We ended with a review of student diagrams.
