Hone your RC skills by tackling a passage with Francesca. Francesca models active reading and walks you through her thought process during storytime, with an emphasis on making the passage make sense to you. After a 10-minute break to try the questions yourself, dive into the passage’s trickiest questions as a group. Francesca encourages engagement and discussion, so please come ready to participate to the best of your ability!

Highlights
Today we tackled a fun passage about earthquakes and plate tectonics, highlighting the process of making sense of ideas you’ve never heard about before. I’m no geologist, but this passage makes perfect sense. We unearthed its main point and went over questions 24, 25, and 26.

Francesca is very adept at phrasing criticism and questions in a way that do not carry any judgement. Because of this, I always feel comfortable taking a crack at a passage or question even if it's the first time I'm reading it. I got halfway through a paragraph today and realized as I was rephrasing it, I didn't really understand it. Francesca just clarified points I was making and offered more specific language to address my summary. I was then able to go on and I didn't struggle with any of the questions because I actually understood what I'd read. Francesca is brilliant, efficient, and seems genuinely interested in making sure everyone is on the same page.Umair W.

Francesca has an impressive understanding of how to unlock the flaw in each LR passage and is also fantastic at modeling and explaining her thinking. Additionally, she takes the time to make sure everyone in class understands and seems genuinely interested in helping everyone see exactly why arguments are flawed and exactly why correct answers are correct. She is very direct about the work while maintaining an uplifting tone. She's equitable with people's time and stays clear and focused for the duration of every class. I used to be terrible at LR, and Francesca's explanations and models have seriously improved my scores on that section.Anonymous

Such a good class and Francesca provides her own solid examples to give additional understanding when folks ask questions. When she asked if anyone wanted to explain “necessary assumption” because explaining something to someone else confirms you know what you’re talking about, it made me realize I need to really hammer down my own understanding of what questions are asking me to get to those correct answers more efficiently and more consistently. I love how Francesca reads a passage. She never rushes to the questions before we've fully understood and made valid objections to the parts of the argument or fact set. It's nice that she gets the class to participate as much as possible so that we also develop similar habits. It is incredible to feel encouraged and supported by Francesca, and I don't have anything else to say other than WOW. The best thing about her classes has nothing to do with finding the correct answer or the wrong answer. It is the active reinforcement to change the mindset for the LSAT.
