Highlights
Tonight we emphasized the importance of tracking your understanding as you read the passage. One easy way to do this is to stop when you see pronouns (like “this,” “they,” “that,” and so on) and make sure you know the subject or object of the pronoun. Delia demonstrated this slow and careful reading method during storytime. Several stellar volunteers helped read and analyze the questions and identify the right answers with ease.

Delia is great at making RC seem less scary. She breaks down passages and connections very well to show how easy it is to find the main point and what our author has to say about it. I love that we go through the questions together. The chance to be on the hot seat tests if you actually understood what was said. Delia is awesome. I love the pace she goes at when reading the RC passages. I'm able to keep up and follow along. I also like how she breaks down each sentence as she's reading. She's great at showing the details as to why the wrong answers are wrong and the "receipts" from the passage for the correct answer!
