Test 4, Passage 1 — Nation’s power
Highlights
We dove into an LR question about Neural Connections and found an ideal example of how the LSAT often leaves out important links in arguments. Abhi led the Demon Explorers to find the missing link in the argument before we read the answer choices, and we made some “neural connections” of our own regarding the power of prediction and reading critically.
On the next LR question, Abhi clarified the difference between necessary and sufficient conditions as we applied rules about truths and lies to the answer choices. Students agreed that the best way to improve your score in any section is to take your time, answer questions confidently, and improve your accuracy - you might even end up going fast by accident.
Time allowed us to move on to the RC passage about sovereignty in international waters, and Abhi pointed out that wrong answers in RC will always have a missing link to the passage, and the right answer will always be proven by the facts on the page, because in reading comprehension, they’re all must be trues.
Abhi thinks the LSAT gets more respect than it deserves. It shouldn’t take over your life, and studying with the Demon can fit into any schedule. He studied while working full time as an active duty service member and is passionate about helping busy students tackle the LSAT with confidence.
