Highlights

The group started with RC this week as Abhi read through the passage about “stealing thunder” in court. Abhi emphasized taking your time to understand every sentence because you have to slow down to speed up. Student feedback about the pacing of the read-through was very positive, calling it a good “medium” speed compared to other classes. Then, we tackled the tricky main point question right off the bat by sticking to the facts on the page. After working through the rest of the questions, the group debated between two answer choices for the final question, and Demon student Gabriela broke down the question stem and changed Abhi’s mind about which answer was correct.

The RC passage took the majority of class time, but we capped off the session by doing the first LR question on our own and coming back to discuss the answer choices. Demon student Monica shared a “click” moment as we talked through the perspective of the stimulus, and other students chimed in to share their own “clicks” as we dismissed wrong answer choices.
