Reading Comprehension shouldn’t be as scary as the dark. Join Kevin as we use our “eagle eyes” to analyze and fully understand RC passages. There is no need to “wing it” since everything you need is right on the page. All levels are welcome! Kevin promises that this class will be a “hoot!”
Test 41, Passage 2 — Countee Cullen
Highlights
The movie National Treasure said it best, “Nobody talks that way anymore.” And it’s true, to some degree.
The LSAT likes to throw in words that nobody uses anymore, especially in Reading Comprehension passages. However, this is no trick. Context is key! Kevin emphasized to the class how crucial it is to pay attention to every single word because each word reveals an opportunity to understand something new about the author and/or the passage. With three amazing volunteers, we learned a great deal about Countee Cullen and his romantic, racially thematic poetry.
Kevin loves those precious “a-ha!” moments on the LSAT. He’ll help you build the skills to discover those moments. He enjoys every section of the test, especially Logical Reasoning.

Everybody loves Kevin! He's so nice and patient with everyone. Does a great job of making class interactive so you're engaged with the material and not just passively sitting there.Dom D.
Kevin’s approach to LR is really engaging! I really enjoy the dialogue regarding a given question, and I find that I absorb more information because of that.Katherine G.
Kevin is so practical and always so reassuring that it's okay to get things wrong and then teaches you how to get them right the next time!Rabbani K.
Class was really great! This was my first LSAT Demon Live class and Kevin was really engaging and explained each step thoroughly!Thomasina C.
Kevin has great energy, and he is very patient. Great Class!Joseph K.
Kevin has a very engaging & friendly approach to LR. Does a great job at teaching LR in a dijestible & clear way.Catherine M.
Kevin does a great job answering everyone's questions whether people raise their hands or use the chat. The class focuses on if the passage is valid or invalid. Kevin takes the time to break down the structure of the passage. This helped ground me in what I was reading. For the first time, I spent more time engaging with the passage than reading the questions.Quinn F.
Not only is Kevin excellent at teaching, but he creates a safe, inclusive environment where students don't feel pressured to be right.Juan M.
Kevin explains concepts thoroughly and is very good at engaging students in the material.Ben D.
I really like how Kevin leads the answer volunteers through the process of reading the passage and encourages the use of the critical lens the Demon espouses.Anonymous

Kevin is awesome and his method of explaining is very friendly and informative. 10/10 would recommend.Misty N.
I love Kevin's teaching style. He is calm, cool, and collected. He takes his time and is super patient with the argument.Umair W.
Kevin's class is Amazing! He really makes the learning process interactive by looking at each argument individually and breaking it down piece by piece. What's really helpful is that you don't feel as if you're studying. You're simply breaking down arguments.Sheri G.
The guilty/not guilty concept of Kevin's class is very helpful to me, and it is one of the questions that I ask myself as I am attempting to find the flaw before I make my prediction. Predictions are a new approach for me with LR questions. Although I am still struggling with making predictions (I am two weeks into my Demon sub), the guilty/not guilty approach is helping me understand this process better.Megan N.
Kevin is not only extremely encouraging but also makes reading comprehension simple. He takes the time to break down the author's opinion and looks at the structure of each passage. Emphasizing reading for structure and the author's opinion, helped me answer the questions a lot better and helped me predict what came next in the passage.Patricia L.
Thank you, Kevin, for giving us the time to break down our thought process out loud with you, for letting us make the mistakes out loud and for allowing us to ask you a million questions. These questions were perfect for me as this is where I am dropping the ball in my practice tests. Your explanations are super helpful and clear. Again, I love the class structure. Thank you for letting us participate and be part of the process of solving LR as you guide us through these questions.Molly K.
This was my first live class and I could not have asked for a better LSAT tutor! Kevin was so patient and kind with everyone. Though I felt comfortable with the content, I knew that if I had a question I would not be judged and/or ridiculed in any way, shape, or form.Anonymous
Explanations are always on point. Love Kevin's calm nature. It makes the learning environment comfortable.Anonymous
It is very clear that Kevin cares deeply about his students. He will answer questions in great detail. Most of all, I believe he is extremely compassionate; if you have any concerns about the LSAT in general, e.g., accommodations, test anxiety, etc., he will provide you with great advice--as if he had known you for a long time.
