Test 20, Passage 1 - Miles Davis
Highlights
Jazz music might not be your thing, but your job on tonight’s Reading Comprehension passage is to make it your thing. In fact, your job on every Reading Comprehension passage is to become infatuated with the topic for however long it takes you to read it. Engagement is helpful for proper understanding. After reading the passage in storytime, Delia and a few volunteers reviewed Q2, Q3, Q4, Q5, and Q6.
Delia believes the key to success on the LSAT is enjoying the study process. Her favorite section is Reading Comprehension, and she wants to help students tackle each passage word by word. Delia started with a cold 155.

I love how patient and understanding Delia is. She is very thorough in explaining things, and I really appreciate that.Sophia
Delia is awesome. I love the pace she goes at when reading the RC passages. I'm able to keep up and follow along. I also like how she breaks down each sentence as she's reading. She's great at showing the details as to why the wrong answers are wrong and the "receipts" from the passage for the correct answer!Selma A.
Delia is great at teaching the process of reading and analyzing passages. She is great at answering questions clearly and making RC look so simple!!Montserrat
I really appreciated how Delia modelled her internal monologue while reading because it reminded me of the importance of being an active reader.Anonymous
Delia's explanations were very straightforward and easily understood. Really appreciated the breakdown of the questions and getting organized before getting to answers.Misty N.
Delia's laid back approach also made me feel comfortable to ask questions and engage with my classmates. Her explanations made sense, and she always made sure we had the evidence to back up the answers.Pierson H.
Delia's teaching style is straightforward to understand and I love the ability to try the questions on our own before meeting and discussing them as a group. She makes RC fun and simple!Anonymous
Delia has great engagement with the class, and she reinforces the mentality of having fun with the RC passages. She has great attention to detail when it comes down to individual words or passages in general. Definitely will be going back to her classes, and I believe everyone of all skill levels will benefit from her classes.Anonymous
I like how Delia goes through the passage slowly and methodically, so everyone can easily follow along and stay focused. She is also so welcoming of questions!Sam S.
Delia is great at making RC seem less scary. She breaks down passages and connections very well to show how easy it is to find the main point and what our author has to say about it. I love that we go through the questions together. The chance to be on the hot seat tests if you actually understood what was said. I also learn a lot from how she attacks A/Cs and why one choice is right vs. wrong.Daisy H.
Delia keeps you interactive by asking students to go through the questions and destroying the answer choice that are wrong. I love being engaged during class because that is my way of learning!Lexi L.
Delia creates a very welcoming environment. She refers to the author's opinion/tone words as "sounding the alarms" when she reads. This reinforces slowing down and reading carefully.
