Week 4, Series 2: Necessary and sufficient assumptions
Test 38, Section 1, Q12 — Retraining
Test 78, Section 3, Q12 — Wills
Test 23, Section 2, Q5 — Public Accommodation
Highlights
Marissa introduced the class to the two assumption questions they will contend with on the Logical Reasoning section of the LSAT. Sufficient Assumption questions ask us to prove the conclusion. Necessary Assumption questions ask us to identify what the author of the passage must agree with. Marissa then applied those principles to three LR questions.
Marissa fell in love with the LSAT and believes that anyone is capable of buckling down and crushing this test, just like she did in taking her score from 155 to 173. Her favorite LSAT pastimes include poking holes in Logical Reasoning arguments and cracking the codes in Logic Games.
Set yourself up for success with a solid foundation in LR. Over this four-week course, Marissa will take you through the fundamentals of the LR section. We’ll focus on reading and attacking arguments—no gimmicks or tricks needed!
