Highlights

Nathan began by telling the class to make RC fun! Engage with the passage and ask yourself what the author thinks. Nathan actively read the passage and translated complex ideas into simple examples. In the RC passage, not reading the question closely enough was a common problem for students. Nathan explained that the LSAT is a reading comprehension test throughout the passage, the question, and the answer choices.

While drilling LR, Nathan taught a Strengthen and a Must be True question. The class was tripped up by the idea that the right answer in a “Strengthen Except” question doesn’t have to weaken the argument. Nathan clears up this confusion, saying that every incorrect answer choice will strengthen the argument, but the correct answer can weaken, be completely neutral, or irrelevant to the argument.

Finally, Nathan reviewed students’ setups for the Supermarket Aisles game.
