If you have accommodations for extra time, please complete the timed section on your own before class

Syllabus

Note: Test 12 has been set aside for Timed Sections.

Test 12, Game 1 — Lessons

Test 12, Game 2 — Canoeists

Test 12, Game 3 — Street vendor

Test 12, Game 4 — Flasks

Highlights

Game 4 — The flasks game is unusual, but it’s far less complicated than you might think. We solved it with three straightforward worlds. This game tests your reading comprehension more than anything else, so slow down and read carefully.

Game 2 — This is a deceptively challenging game because of how flexible the rules are. Erik prioritized baking the “not” rules into his diagram and settled on four worlds. Then Hannah shared her three-world setup based on the FJ block.

Game 3 — Erik used a modified circle/slash approach and built two worlds. Don’t freak out over the Rule Change question—one new world based on the change tells you everything you need to know.

Game 1 — The sort of game 1 that’s so easy it makes you fear what the rest of the section has in store for you. We crushed it with a few worlds based on our good friends Steve and Jan.
