Highlights
Today’s class focused on attacking arguments. Brandon focused students attention on identifying premises/conclusions and how to make sense of their interaction in the passage. He demonstrated how to attack an argument by questioning whether the premises fully support the conclusion or not. Specifically, he talked about how you should never make your own assumptions when reading an LSAT passage, and that if the author made an assumption, it means there is a flaw in their reasoning.
A lot of the explanations and student questions were focused on breaking down complex wording into understandable chunks. Brandon stressed the importance of taking as long as you need to to understand what you read on the LSAT. If you can paraphrase every sentence you read in your own words, you can crush the LSAT.
Brandon believes that every student is capable of success and encourages his students to set high expectations for themselves. He has eight years of teaching experience and enjoys challenging students to reach their full potential.
