You’re going to write a lot of case briefs in law school, so you might as well start practicing now. In this medium-difficulty class, we analyze an RC passage using a case-briefing framework to discover the author’s “holding” (main point).

Test 104, Passage 4e — Lowe’s theory

Highlights

Is the historical record a lie?! We pondered this heavy question on a Friday night as we calmly and confidently found the context clues of our author’s opinion on the matter. What’s the holding here? It might be! We did not allow all of the “fluff” in the passage to distract us or bore us to death in finding the answer to our quest. We stayed in the saddle throughout the passage, and that paid off when we conquered all of the questions!
