Reading Comprehension

Test 133, Passage 4 — Objective historians

Highlights

Today we put on our Logical Reasoning thinking caps to help understand a Comparative Reading passage. The author of passage B presented us with a gnarly conditional statement, which came back to try to bite us in the questions. But we persisted through the obscurity, made sense of every word we read, and demolished every question. For those struggling with Comparative passages: don’t make them more than what they are. They are simply mini RC passages, and our job is to compare and contrast them. Beatriz recommended the LSAT Demon Comparative Reading Bootcamp as a supplemental study lesson.

After being out of school for almost a decade and having a defeatist mentality of "not being good at standardized tests," Beatriz felt wary about taking on the LSAT. However, once she discovered the Thinking LSAT podcast, she took on a new perspective about conquering this test. Beatriz believes that anyone can slay the LSAT--all you need is a bit of common sense and a dash of swagger!
