In today’s RC class, we used a passage about prions—a groundbreaking discovery that challenged everything science thought it knew about infections—to shake up everything we think we know about speed on the LSAT. Many students focus on rushing through sections, but speed without understanding leads to mistakes. There’s no bonus for finishing quickly—points only come from correct answers. We learned that slowing down, understanding the passage fully, and using the main point as our guide makes it easier to predict answers and boosts accuracy. Accuracy builds confidence, and that confidence naturally leads to the speed we’re looking for.
