Week 4, Series 2: Comparative passages
Test 124, Passage 3 — University research
Highlights
In this week’s RC Foundations series, we tackled a comparative reading passage. We can think of these as mini RC passages—and who doesn’t love mini things?! If you find yourself getting nervous when you see a comparative, get excited instead. (Sometimes you’ve got to fake it til you make it.) You are going to learn from two different authors—and more knowledge is never bad (especially for a lawyer). We wrapped up class by discussing methods of finding an author’s opinion when it doesn’t feel so obvious and the benefits of finding study buddies in our Demon Discord.
After being out of school for almost a decade and having a defeatist mentality of "not being good at standardized tests," Beatriz felt wary about taking on the LSAT. However, once she discovered the Thinking LSAT podcast, she took on a new perspective about conquering this test. Beatriz believes that anyone can slay the LSAT--all you need is a bit of common sense and a dash of swagger!

In Foundations, we’ll build good habits as we work through one passage together practicing active reading and prediction. This approach will make it easier to understand and identify the answers when you get to the questions.
