Highlights

Making predictions isn’t just about finding the correct answer—it’s about actively engaging with the passage. We should be predicting early and often. Where is the author going with this? Uh oh, I hope they don’t make this mistake. These facts could lead to this conclusion. Is that where the author is headed? Predictions not only guide us to the correct answer but also deepen our understanding of the passage as a whole. Today, we worked through three LR questions that hinged on spotting a single key connection in the facts. Once we made that connection, we used our prediction to see how that moment of comprehension translated into an undeniably correct answer choice.
