Reading Comprehension

Test 157, Passage 3 — Species question

Highlights

Do we let science passages intimidate us? Absolutely not! We pause as much as we need to—even if that means stopping four words into a passage to think about what is being said. The trick is to think about Reading Comprehension as reading sentences, not passages. We don’t want to get to the end of a passage and think, “What did I just read?” We want to digest the words in each sentence—summarizing, connecting, and predicting what the author is going to say next. This is how you get to an elite-level understanding of RC.

Beatriz Garcia

LSAT Tutor

After being out of school for almost a decade and having a defeatist mentality of "not being good at standardized tests," Beatriz felt wary about taking on the LSAT. However, once she discovered the Thinking LSAT podcast, she took on a new perspective about conquering this test. Beatriz believes that anyone can slay the LSAT--all you need is a bit of common sense and a dash of swagger!
