Test Numbers
In August 2024, LSAC removed the Logic Games and added one more section of Logical Reasoning. So the LSAT now includes these four sections:
- Two Logical Reasoning (LR) sections
- One Reading Comprehension (RC) section
- One Experimental section—either LR or RC
The Experimental section isn’t graded and won’t affect your LSAT score. All four sections can appear in any order—first, second, third, or fourth. It’s impossible to identify the Experimental section while taking the test. So do each section as if it counts because it probably does.
To help you prepare, LSAC combined the LR and RC sections from previous practice tests to create the current practice tests, numbered 101-158. These new tests are just reusing questions from previous tests. And they mirror the new format by including three graded sections and one Experimental section.
Test 141, for example, took three sections from Test 73 and one section from Test 70:
- Section 1: Test 73.1 (RC)
- Section 2: Test 73.2 (LR)
- Section 3: Test 70.2 (RC, Experimental)
- Section 4: Test 73.4 (LR)
In the Demon, you can do any test, including Test 141, as a 3-section or 4-section test. The 3-section version just excludes the Experimental section. But both versions will give you an LSAT score (120-180).
You can see the previous test numbers by turning off Tests 101-158 in Advanced Settings. But we recommend using the new test numbers.
L1 & L2
We’ve added two new tests to LSAT Demon, L1 and L2, featuring previously unreleased official questions that LSAC has released as drill sets. These include 14 Logical Reasoning drill sets with 12 questions each and seven Reading Comprehension drill sets with 12–14 questions each.
The drill sets include multiple questions from Test F. To avoid overlap, we omitted those questions.
We’re continually adding video and written explanations for each question. If you come across a question that doesn’t have an explanation, hit the Ask Button to let us know.
